Are you addicted to sugar?

How much sugar are you eating? Sugar was killing me. I have an addiction to sugar. I loved it.


According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the average person consumes 71g or 17 teaspoons of added sugar a day.


How much #sugar was I consuming per day? 344g.


What is the daily recommended sugar in intake? The daily recommended sugar intake per day for adults is 25g (World Health Organization). I was addicted to sugar and I didn’t even know it.


In my first three months of my weight loss journey, I reduced my sugar intake to less than 15g.


Orange juice is 20g. Tomato juice 8g. "Healthy" cereal with milk. 28g. Strawberry yogurt, 33g. Low-fat Breakfast Cereal Bar, 12 g. This all looks pretty normal, right? This is 101g of sugar!!! I wasn't even eating sweets yet. Incredible.


Take a look at your sugar intake and see how much you are eating. Try to get that down to 14g a day!
